About Matt Maddix

Matt Maddix was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, on September 27, 1975.  While attending Lakeview High School in January of 1992, God filled him with the Holy Ghost, and he was baptized in Jesus name.  He then spent the next two years giving his life and energy fully to reaching lost souls.  In those two years, Matt brought over 100 students from his high school to his local church.

In August of 1994, Matt moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned an Associate Degree in Theology from Gateway College of Evangelism.  After leaving Gateway, Matt began traveling throughout America working in youth ministry, personal evangelism, campus ministry, motivational speaking, revivals, seminars, and developing many new outreach programs in churches.

On May 18, 2003, Matt Maddix moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, to begin the pastorate of the Apostolic United Pentecostal Church.  Upon arriving in St. Petersburg, he immediately went to work reaching out to the poor and less fortunate.  He began new ministries such as Block Parties, a weekly dinner for the homeless after church on Sunday, along with many other exciting and growing outreaches.  The Apostolic United Pentecostal Church was renamed The Life Center in June of 2006, and The Life Center has been responsible for helping bring life back to many hopeless people.

After a year at The Life Center, God gave Matt Maddix a vision to begin a “Soul Winners Boot Camp.”  It began with the intention to provide hands on training to 25 people for personal evangelism.  The first Soul Winners Boot Camp started in St. Petersburg, Florida, with 270 people from all across America.  The next year, it grew to over 950 people registered and the following year with 700 people that came to St. Petersburg to be trained and empowered for personal and compassion evangelism.  In 2008, Matt started Boot Camp America and completed 10 Soul Winners Boot Camps across America, training over 2,396 people; 1,157 people have been baptized in Jesus name, and God has filled 1,175 with the Holy Ghost.  What started as a vision to train 25 people with hands on training, has grown to 29 Soul Winners Boot Camps, training 7,104 people for radical and compassionate Soul Winning, baptizing a total of 2,836, and God filling a total of 3,416 people with the Holy Ghost as of November 2009.

Matt Maddix also travels throughout the world as a motivational speaker, revivalist, conference and camp meeting speaker.  The Life Center had a record attendance of 546 in April 2006. As of August 2008, Matt resigned as the pastor of the Life Center so he could give his full attention to Boot Camp America and helping churches across the world become more effective Soul Winning churches.  Matt Maddix has a worldwide vision to make it difficult for souls to go to hell and plans to continue to build a soul winning church and to network Christians across the world to reach EVERY soul until Jesus comes.
